"Can you believe I'm 6 months?"

Well, I certainly can't.
I try to soak in every second of every day I have with her . . . because the very sad fact is . . . I'll never get those seconds again. Time has never flown as fast as these last 6 months. And, I'm a bit scared to think about how fast the next 6 months will go . . .
Enough. I can't continue to dwell on this like I do . . .
On a brighter note, we did visit the doctor and things look great!
Weight: 15 lbs. 10 oz.
Length: 26 inches
Eating:
She's gained 3 lbs. since the last visit, which knocked her up to the 43rd percentile (as opposed to the 23rd she was in last time). I know for a fact it's because of our new eating routine. It took me a while to finally figure out that . . . #1) I'm not a big milk producer and #2) what milk I do have has to be pushed, mashed and squeezed out. And, she doesn't have the patience to sit and wait on me do that . . . (Sorry if that's TMI.) So, a couple months ago I started strictly pumping and feeding her with a bottle. (I will add, I do have to supplement a few ounces of formula daily. Which thankfully, is also going well.) She is 100% happier; therefore so am I.
Also, this month she finally gets to start solids . . . real solids! After 2 months of the rice cereal and by the way she looks at me while I eat everyday, I think she's more than ready to eat something with some flavor!
Sleeping:
Thank you, Babywise! I know there's a lot of you out there completely against this theory, but goodness gracious, we couldn't have been happier with it! Ross continues to sleep through the night 7 to (almost) 7. It has been a blessing!
Right now Ross loves . . .
- the "Johnny Jump-Up"
- the outdoors
- being strolled around
the stores - sitting up
- singing songs (especially any with hand motions)
- her fingers
- her feet
- kisses (and the loud noise you make doing it)
- playing the " . . . I'm gonna get you!" game
- to watch you jump up and down
- to swing
- to twirl her feet around and around
- eating
- being swaddled (still)
- her plug, of course
Right now Ross hates . . .
- sitting in a car seat any longer than 20 minutes (unless there's a mama back there doing everything she can to entertain her)
- to roll over from all fours
- shots
We thank God every single day for this precious, little baby. We simply can't hug her or squeeze her or kiss her enough. She is the most wonderful thing in the world, and I'm trying not to take any second for granted . . . because before you know it . . . another 6 months will be gone.

You are so right!!!She is growing up right before our eyes! I can't believe she is already sitting up by herself! I can not wait to see her this weekend! She is a wonderful blessing for sure!
So hard to believe she is 6 months old!!
That is the most adorable picture ever!
The one at the top. :)
Ross was such a cutie sitting up all by herself this morning while Durham was having a melt down! I bet Ross is fully entertained by Durham's antics! I hope she calmed down quickly for you. I wish i could stay and play on Thursdays!
Happy 6 month birthday Ross!
time really is flying... can't wait to see her in a few weeks!
