Ross Speaks!

Okay . . . well, kinda.

This week Ross has started saying, "da da."

But, let's be clear.

I did not hear, "Daddy."

Regardless of what Grady says, there is a difference.

Unless, of course . . .

. . . it's all a part of her master plan.

A Big Time with Mimi & Papa!

While we were away, Ross stayed very busy with Mimi & Papa!
In fact, she made her very first trip to the zoo!
(I was a bit sad to miss that . . . but, there's no doubt she had a great time!)

They tried hard to feed her those green beans everyday!
(Good thing it wasn't the peas, Mimi! She HATES those!)

Thanks for staying with me, Mimi & Papa!
I sure love you!

A Trip to the Wine Country!

Oh! My! Goodness! How absolutely fabulous!
This had to be one of the best trips Grady and I have ever taken!

Of course, we are wine lovers . . .
and any trip that involves a couple of days devoted to wine is heaven to us!

So, we got in the car and drove up to the North Carolina Wine Country!

Now, mind you, there are TONS of wineries in NC . . . we made it to 8. No matter how many you choose to visit, you don't want to leave without your GPS! (We might still be driving around NC if not.)

I don't want to bore you too terribly much, because really and truly it's something you've got to experience yourself. So, here's just a quick recap of our visit . . .

(The oldest winery in NC.)

(My personal favorite.)

(Me, standing in the vineyard . . . looking a bit awkward . . . but very excited!)

(The most beautiful.)

(Grady's personal favorite.)

I'm not totally sure you gathered much from that, but it really was a fun trip!

It also happened to be our first time away from Ross for the whole weekend. (I believe I needed something like a wine trip in order to keep my mind off of her for a least a few minutes at a time . . .) The picture diary my parents continued to send us on my phone helped a lot . . . of course, it wasn't anything like walking in the door and seeing that sweet little face again!

Good times!

Our Play Day with Durham!

Once a week Ryan & Courtney's little girl, Durham comes over to play! She's such a cutie pie, and she loves Ross! I love that Ross gets this chance to play with another kiddo! It's been so fun!

It's funny how entertained Ross is by simply watching Durham!

She loves talking to "Bo Bo!"
(Or as we commonly refer to her as "Salsa" and sometimes "That Bad Dog!")

She's seriously takin' a likin' to one certain book.
She completely ignores the others and goes straight for that one every time!

(Courtney, I promise the floors are clean . . . I just mopped yesterday!)

"Geez, mama. When will I be able to run around like that?"

We can't wait for next week!

Albino Skunk!

Oh my goodness! How fun!
Jennifer and Trav invite us every year . . .
and this was the most fun year by far!

I was ecstatic to bring Ross out for a bit!
(The tie-dyed onesie Fleming and the girls made for her was perfect!!)

I hope this isn't a sign of what's to come . . . :)
(Let's at least get to college, Ross!)

I already can't wait for next year!
