Ross at 12 Weeks

1 Week

12 Weeks

Of course, I can't believe it! How in the world has 12 weeks gone by so quickly! This baby girl has grown in so many ways the last 3 months, and we've been loving every second of it!

She is still loving her play mat. In fact, she's figured out how to move and pull many of the toys.

However, she'd much rather look at a familar face!

The changing table is still one of her favorite spots! I've never known a child who loves to get her diaper changed so much!

She's finally found her fingers . . . and when the plug isn't in, her fingers are!

But, perhaps the most monumental moment has been her first laugh! I can't tell you what a wonderful feeling it was to hear such a sound!

She is just so fabulous! It's hard to believe it could get much better!

A DIY for Daddy's Day!

Thank goodness Jennifer and the kids came to help out with this one! Art projects with a 10 week old proved to be harder than expected!

The Baby Bjorn was also quite helpful!

While I rubbed paint on Ross' hand, Jennifer stood by ready with the canvas.

. . . and this mostly compliant baby ended up creating a real masterpiece for daddy!

Though as it turned out . . . he seemed to be just as excited simply being with Ross.

Happy First Father's Day, Grady!
We both love you more than you could ever imagine!

A Visit With Mimi & Papa!

They always bring a smile!

We got to try a fun new toy . . .

. . . and later made a visit with Mammer!

We even got to go swimming for the first time!

Ross decided right away she'd be a swimmer!

What a fun weekend! We can't wait to go back, Mimi & Papa!

Portrait Innovations

As you can see from the new picture on the side, we finally got some pictures done of Ross. I had full intentions of asking a local photographer to do her newborn pictures, but a week turned into a month, and a month turned into two . . . and although I was able to schedule a 4 month appointment, I was too late for her newborn shots. Panicked that I need a birth announcement picture, I ran to Portrait Innovations.

It was certainly an experience . . .
Seriously, where else could you get cheesed up pictures like these of a two month old . . . in pink satin . . . ?

Of course, there were some sweet ones . . .

. . . and I was able get it all done with pictures in hand in a matter of an hour an a half.

So, I guess it wasn't a totally horrible experience . . . :)

2 Month Well Check

Little Ross seems to be doing great! She's gained another 2 pounds since her last check up (10.9 lbs) . . . but even more amazingly, she grew 4 inches! We couldn't believe it! That puts her in the 95th percentile for height!

Eating:
We recently had some issues with feeding, and after many stressful days, I finally figured out that my milk supply had decreased. This, of course, caused her to become furious half way through her feeding. It was most upsetting to the both of us. Now that I've upped my supply, things seem to be back to normal . . .

Sleeping:
I feel quite fortunate to have a baby who clearly knows her day from night. She never has a problem going back to sleep after a nighttime feeding . . . and now that she's getting older, we've finally reached the point where she only wakes once to eat! (I am currently knocking on wood that this continues!) With that said, she is, however, still in her bassinet . . . beside our bed . . .
I still haven't gotten up enough nerve to make the crib transition.
3 months. That's my goal. (Please say a little prayer.)

Wake Time:
Ross' smiling has increased dramatically! This makes her wake time so much fun these days! We just couldn't ask for a better little girl! I just can't wait to see what she'll do next!!

A Day on the Lake!

Dave and Kristy invited us out on the lake this weekend, where Ross got to experience her very first boat ride! Although, she absolutely loved the ride, she was not all too thrilled about her new life jacket . . .

We couldn't help but laugh at all that hair blowing in the wind!

Thanks for everything, Dave and Kristy!

A Visit From the Leonberg's

We were most excited to have Alanna, Craig and Miss Bailey for a quick visit!

They are definitely the best of buds!

Come back soon, guys!!
