A Very Happy Thanksgiving!

I love the holidays . . . no matter how hectic!
And this year was, of course, the most hectic yet!

A Marsh Thanksgiving

A Ross Thanksgiving

Although Ross couldn't enjoy making gingerbread cookies like Alex & Cate . . .

Mimi still had plenty of "baby safe" gingerbread men around
that were just as fun!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I've decided it's time . . .

. . . for another blog!

For some of you, there's probably only so many family photos you can stand!! And, I understand that.

So, I've decided to start a whole new blog (in addition to this one), strictly about thrifting (and other crafty projects I can get my hands into)!

I'm really excited about this . . . as if I'm starting a new job or something!

Huh. You never know . . .

The Leonberg's Visit!

We were so excited to have Craig, Alanna & little Bailey come visit!!

Saturday turned out to be the perfect day to take a trip to the zoo!

(The new kangaroo exhibit allows you to roam around with them!! How cool!)

(the meerkats)

It really was a fun day!

Best buds!

HOLY COW! We did it!

Ross slept without a swaddle last night!!

Wait . . . you might not have gotten that . . . ROSS SLEPT WITHOUT A SWADDLE LAST NIGHT!!!

I finally got up enough nerve to do it, and it was a success!!! (Well, at least night 1. I'm not gonna get my hopes up entirely, yet.) She went down wonderfully, and woke up at about 3 am. She sat in her crib and talked/played (with the 100 plugs around her) for almost an hour. But she finally went back to sleep!!!

Say a little prayer we have just as much luck with her naps today . . .

UPDATE!!!
Night 2 went wonderfully!!! I only heard her talking for a few minutes sometime around 2am, I think. We PRAY this continues!!!!

7 Months Old

This month she has . . .
  • started reaching and grabbing for everything
  • tried a sippy cup (and continues to do so with no luck . . .)
  • been eating four 8 ounce bottles a day (and one snack bottle)
  • been eating cereal & fruit for breakfast & a vegetable and fruit for supper
  • started clapping . . .

  • started saying "da da da" . . . a lot
  • decided everything should go in her mouth
  • started to rock back and forth while sitting up
  • loved standing up (with support)
  • started to push on our hands with her feet in order to move forward on her stomach . . . (although, it is still not her favorite position)

Perhaps my favorite thing she's started doing this month, however, is how she recognizes the word "kisses." She smiles and giggles every time we say/do it, especially when we tell her to give "kisses" to her baby doll! It has to be the sweetest thing!

Three people have come up to her in the last 2 days and commented on how ". . . she's not a baby anymore." And, believe me, I have not been handling that very well.

She is changing every single day . . . seeming less and less like a little baby . . . and more and more like a little girl.

Good gracious, I don't know what I'm going to do . . .

Happy Birthday, Cate!

This weekend was sweet Cate's birthday!
And, she couldn't have chosen a better place than Gymboree!
What a fun time!!

Ross couldn't wait to get started!

(How sweet is this photo!)

And, at Jennifer and Trav's house there's always fun things to do and see!

Such a fun weekend!!
Thanks for everything, guys!

Happy Halloween!

Our little hippie girl!

After searching the internet, I ran across this cute onesie idea . . .

I fell in love with this pillow case from the Goodwill and have been saving it up for something fun! This seemed like the perfect project to use some of it!

One little hippie family!

The gang came over to help us pass out the candy.

Even sweet little, Warner!

I'm ashamed to say, we ran out of candy this year! It was a bit embarrassing!
I'll have to be better prepared next year!

Later, we couldn't wait to get outside by the fire . . .

. . . and roast some marshmallows!

Yay for Halloween!!
