Ross & the" Johnny Jump-Up"

A few weeks ago I put Ross in the "Johnny Jump-Up" to see what she'd do . . .

. . . and at first, she seemed a little overwhelmed . . .

BUT, by the end of the week, things clearly had changed . . .

Ross Goes to "MY GYM!"

Oh my goodness! If you have a baby and you don't know about this place . . . you have to check it out! I'm pretty sure there's places like it everywhere.

The second I found it on the web, I was about to die to get Ross there! It had to be the sweetest little place she's ever been!

There's so much to do and see, even at her age . . .

. . . especially other babies!

This was the first time she's ever been on a swing!

I knew it wore her out, but I figured we'd at least get out of the parking lot . . .

We just can't wait until next week!

Warner's Storybook Shower

Kim & Mike and Grady & I were so excited to throw Dave & Kristy a couples shower for little Warner!

And, you know me, I couldn't wait to get started decorating! (I will say, I was at a bit of an advantage finding decor being a kindergarten teacher and just having a baby myself . . . )

We couldn't resist at least one game!

(Thank goodness my parents came to help with Ross! We couldn't have done it without them!)

We're so excited for you guys!
We can't wait to meet little Warner in a few weeks!!

Bench Redo

I came across this old bench a while ago at a flea market and have yet to do anything with it . . .

. . . so finally, I gave it a new paint job,

. . . a couple potted plants . . .

. . . and a new home.

Cereal!

After the 4 month appointment, Ross was given the "ok" to begin cereal!
I was most excited to get started . . .

. . . however, Ross didn't know what to think.

It took a few days . . .

. . . but by day 4 she clearly knew what the spoon was for!

Even Mimi & Papa got to serve up this yummy new stuff!

I think it's safe to say, she likes it!

4 Month Well Check

I can't even believe I'm writing about this.
How in the world has she grown so fast?

Weight: 12.9 lbs (23rd percentile)
Length: 25 in. (75th percentile)

Which means she's grown another inch
and gained another 2 pounds.

I love going to the doctor and finding out all that fun information
. . . however, I hate watching Ross get shots. I do not recall her shots being so traumatic last visit. She let out the most horrific cry! I've never heard her cry like that before.

Oh, it was awful.
My stomach is still in knots.

Let's hope she'll feel better after this nap . . . with her plug. (Goodness gracious.)

P.S. We asked the doctor once and for all how long we should be swaddling her . . . and his answer: "As long as you can."

That's all I needed to hear. :)

Annual Ross Family Pool Party!

Thursday, August 5

Ahh . . . a project!

Now that Ross is on a pretty good routine, I've found the time to squeeze in a few projects here and there!

I can't take all the credit for this one . . . Fleming helped with this idea!

I'd been on the search for some fun cake plates, but couldn't seem to find exactly what I wanted . . . so why not make them!

Plates: $.25 - $.50 a piece (at the thrift store)

Old candle holders: $.50 a piece

Put 'em together . . .

Cake plates!

Ross was most impressed.

We love a project!
