To the Zoo!

We were very excited to go to the zoo again!

And, although it hadn't been all that long ago since we last went, Ross seemed even more fascinated!

We looked . . .

and waved . . .

and pointed . . .

and cheesed . . .

What a big day!

"I May Not Crawl Yet . . .

. . . but I sure can get into things."

(I guess it's finally time to start baby-proofing.)

Just Because . . .

I've found myself snapping a thousand photos
just about every Sunday before church these days . . .

Because, let's be frank . . .

you don't normally see Ross dressed like this.

But, that makes the times that she does, all the more special.

(And, of course, an excuse for me to snap a few photos . . .)

Disney World 2011

Finally a few photos . . . after going through a billion picture my parents took from the trip, I managed to compile just a few for you.

It probably goes without mentioning that Ross LOVED every second . . .

She was always on the edge of her seat trying to catch a glimpse of everything in sight!

She's still a bit unsure of all the characters coming up to her . . .

But, I guess they're used to all the staring by now.

Her favorite, by far, had to be The Winnie the Pooh ride at Magic Kingdom . . .
(and I'm pretty sure it was mine, too)

There's no doubt it was exhausting . . .

But, I think it's safe to say, Ross had the time of her life.

Ross is 9 Months!

Actually, she was 9 months a week ago, but with the Disney trip and all, I haven't had the time to post until now! (Disney trip pictures to come . . .)

Ross is literally growing like a weed! I can't believe it!

Weight: 19 lbs. 11 oz. (67th percentile)
Length: 29 inches (91st percentile)

A few happenings this month . . .

She's finally started to scoot. (Even though our doctor reassured me her not crawling yet was quite normal for first babies, I'll admit I was getting a bit worried.) I notice her getting closer and closer everyday!

Although we LOATH Salsa's barking at the neighbor's dogs . . .
Ross quite enjoys it. She immediate looks at the door when she hears her.

She's really taken an interest in books this last month.
In fact, she sometimes gets very vocal if you don't turn the pages fast enough!

But, perhaps the most exciting thing to happen this month is all the "real" food Ross has gotten to try! With only a few exceptions, the doctor told us she can eat just about anything! And, she has loved every second of it!

(Minus the green beans, of course.)

It's beyond belief that at our next appointment she'll be 1 year old.

I seriously can't talk about it.

However, my sister keeps telling me how it only gets better and better the older they get . . . and there's no doubt it's true. She is the best little baby girl any two parents could ask for. I can never thank God enough for all He's given Grady and I.

Yaaaayyyyy Disney!

We are SOOOO excited that my parents started an annual family trip to Disney a few years ago . . . and this year we're invited!!

I have the best memories of Disney as a child . . .

I just feel so grateful that Ross has the opportunity to make some too!

Ross' First Sign!!!!

After much anticipation (from her mama), Ross finally showed her first sign today!! I'll spare you the details of how ridiculously excited I behaved . . . however, I JUST so happened to have my camera handy to capture her in action!

First, we eat the Cheerios . . .

But, inevitably we run out and need "MORE!"
(MORE : tap fingers together)

Now, you're probably thinking . . . "How do you know she really signed?"

2 Reasons:
1.) Usually she would simply make mad noises when she wanted more. She's never done anything with her hands at that moment.
2.) I did this 4 separate times to be sure, and she did exactly the same thing each time!

I am beyond excited!! I just can't wait for more!!

(Pun intended.)

Ross & the Walker

We took a very last minute trip up to Grady's parents house for New Year's . . . where Ross found the walker! She had been in it before, but for some reason this time she had a big burst of confidence . . .

. . . and quickly realized she could get into all kinds of new stuff!
