A "Sip & See" for Ross!

A few of my mom's sweet friends gave Ross a

"Sip & See" this past weekend.

It couldn't have been more perfect!

We are so grateful to have such wonderful people in our lives!

A Day with Ross

I am absolutely loving this age! Ross is almost 4 months old (goodness gracious) and is so much fun!

I've always had a schedule throughout the day, but now we have a real established routine, and it's going wonderfully! Here's a little glimpse as to what our day is like . . .

We wake up at about 6:30 or 6:45 am every morning. I absolutely love coming into greet her first thing! She always has the biggest smiles!!

After she eats, she likes to play on her mat for a few minutes and sit in her bouncy chair . . .

. . . then it's straight to daddy!

Around 8:15 or 8:30 am she'll go back down for a nap. This will be one of her long naps (1 1/2-2 hrs.). She'll wake up around 10:00 am, when she'll eat again.

Then, it's time for our daily outing . . . whether it be to Target, Publix, or the Goodwill, we make an effort to go somewhere.

(She may or may not nap during this time.)

By the time we get back, it's time to eat again (1:00 pm). After which we'll play on her mat and read stories.

Sometimes we even get a few visitors!

Around 2:15 or 2:30 pm she'll go back down for her second long nap of the day.

When she wakes (around 4:00 pm), it's time to eat again.

It's at this time we like to go out on the porch and wait for daddy to get home!

(This also might be the time that mama enjoys a beer . . .)

She may or may not take a nap during this time.

At about 7:00 pm Grady will feed her the last feeding, and I'll put her down for the night.

Some may disagree, but I stopped feeding her in the middle of the night the very first time she slept through the night. (That was almost 2 months ago.) The pacifier helped with this transition, but she never once had any major breakdowns over it.

We're still swaddling her for her naps and at bedtime. She clearly knows a swaddle means sleep, and it works wonderfully! Being swaddled, I most often only need to pat her for 3 or 4 minutes, and then she's down! I'm struggling with the fact that we may soon have to stop swaddling her based on her age. She has never slept at night without a swaddle . . .

Like I said, I'm quite happy with our daily schedule . . . and even more excited that I have the opportunity to continue with it, because I'll be staying at home next year! It's certainly going to be a BIG change, and I'm still a bit nervous about not seeing adults as often, but honestly I couldn't imagine going back at this point! She has created a whole new world for me, and I can't wait to share it with her everyday!

Well . . . I'm hearing that little girl wake right now, in fact . . . better run!

Mountain Trip

This weekend we celebrated 2 more birthdays in the mountains with the whole fam!

Cornhole has now become quite the tradition with the Marsh family!

Ross was wonderful! I was a bit nervous about all the nap interruptions while shopping . . . but she did awesome! It's been so exciting being able to travel with her and allow her to experience so many new things!

I think Ross is most excited to have such a big family!

There's always someone there to entertain her!

Anniversary in Asheville!

Although it's not quite as easy to pick up and fly to Puerto Rico . . . or New York . . . or Las Vegas . . . or Miami anymore, we were thrilled to spend our 5th year anniversary in Asheville along with our new baby girl!

Grady found this spot to stay, which turned out to be perfect for our current needs.

Ross finally got to try out her new hat! (Mostly because her mama was panicked over the sun!)

OF COURSE, we forgot the stroller and had to quickly purchase an inexpensive one at a nearby Babies R Us. But, Ross was very pleased with her new form of transportation! In fact, it was the very first time she's been faced forward in any stroller! (Though, I'm sure you can see she still has a bit of growing to do to really fit properly!)

I can't think of any better way to spend celebrating 5 grand years!

. . . and, it's hard to believe . . .

The Fourth In Hilton Head

We were definitely excited to spend July 4th with my parents (and Alex & Cate) in Hilton Head! It's been months since I'd been to the beach, and I couldn't wait to get Ross there!

Grand Godparents, Mary & Jack took us all on a boat ride down at Harbor Town . . .

. . . and it was clear Miss Ross throughly enjoyed herself!

It was a bit windy on the beach, but Ross was a trooper!

Later, we attempted to take a "cousins" picture . . .

. . . but it turned out to be a bit harder than expected!
