A Front Door Face Lift

I've been dying to change our boring front door numbers to something big, bright and bold! In fact, I've been a bit obsessed about it . . . searching everywhere for new ideas.

I found this old piece of wood at the flea market in Charlotte a few weeks ago in the hopes that I could attach my numbers to it.

Meanwhile, I had been searching around for interesting old tin containers at the thrift stores . . .

. . . and the final product came out like this.

I'm definitely excited about it, but in all honesty I wanted something larger . . . and brighter. Grady's mom gave me a few more good ideas, so who knows. I certainly wouldn't be opposed to using this as indoor decor either.

Looks good!! I meant to tell you that the other night! My mom used to keep all her coupons in a tin that looked JUST LIKE that flowered one you found! Too funny!

I thought that was new, but I was not sure. I was going to say something but didn't want to look stupid if it wasn't new. But i like it!

where on earth did you get the idea for this one... you need to write a book of all of your ideas!

I LOVE IT!! It turned out really great. My wall kind of didn't. It is kind of pitful. I need a bench or something to go under it. I can't wait for you to come this weekend. Fleming

I spelled pitiful wrong. I am not even sure this is the way. Sorry. Fleming
