Hard to believe we’ve already been to Vegas and back.
And, OH, how I’d love to show you some wonderful pictures . . .
The hotels . . . and the casinos . . . and the clouds of cigar smoke . . .
The wonderful pictures . . . just grand pictures . . . before IT happened, that is.
You see, Grady and I had already been in Vegas 2 nights before Jennifer and Travis had arrived, which also happened to be the night of the first big cigar party held at The Palms . . . where “Lynyrd Skynyrd” was playing.
“Lynyrd Skynyrd” . . . free drinks . . . and plenty of room to dance . . . it was unreal.
It was at about that time (you know, when I’m screaming the song to the top of my lungs and sloshing my delicious drink to and fro) when my camera fell. In fact, as soon as it left my hands, I looked down and (in very slow motion), I saw the whole - damn - thing. Even with the music as loud as it was, (I swear to you) I heard the entire crash.
Frantically, I started taking the battery out over and over again . . . mashing the on/off button as hard as I could . . . all while Grady is looking at it shaking his head back and forth . . .
It was soon evident that - MY CAMERA WAS BROKEN . . . in the middle of my vacation, at one of the most fabulous hotels, directly in front of “Lynyrd Skynyrd.”
And, just as anyone else would do, I had a major minor breakdown . . . in the middle of my vacation, at one of the most fabulous hotels, and directly in front of “Lynyrd Skynyrd.”
After many deep breaths and thanks to God that Jennifer had a camera, I got another drink and started singing again.
Of course, it wasn’t 5 minutes later that Vito from the Sopranos walked in the door and stood not 10 feet from us . . . of course.
Pictures in 7 to 10 days . . .

Poor thing! I would have had a MAJOR not MINOR breakdown! :)
bummer... well hopefully the rest of the trip went better than that night.
I will get some pics up on the blog tomorrow. It's a shame it was your camera that broke and not mine...your camera is so much better than mine!
That is terrible! You might need to be like Tim and I, we each have a camera so we always have backup pictures. It has saved us a couple times when we have run into problems. Your second camera can be a cheap one, but it is better than nothing....
