Welcome Home!

Salsa is home!

Although, this isn't over yet . . .

Honestly, the most crucial part (in my opinion) will be within the next TWO MONTHS! She can't run, jump, or play- AT ALL . . . for TWO- WHOLE- MONTHS! (I can't tell you how pissed she's going to be.)

Apparently these disgusting worms have latched on to her heart, and the injections she was given to treat them take 7-10 days to kill the worms. When they die, they will slowly move into her bloodstream (and out of her body), but any sort of cardiovascular activity during this process can result in death. How scary is that?!?! Good thing it's summer. She's usually worn out from the heat anyway.

It's no doubt going be hard not being as playful with her, but we're surely happy to have her home.

I really missed that crazy girl.

Oh my gosh! That is crazy! How can they expect a big dog like that not to do anything!! Poor thing! Welcome Home, Salsa!!! Winston, Dave, and I all hope that you get to feeling better soon!

Wow! Poor guy - good thing he's gotten calmer lately though, right? That will help.

poor salsa i hope she starts to feel better soon. my dog has never had heart worms but I use to work at a kennel and just a heads up when they come out its not pretty. Hopefully the time will past quickly, good thing you have the summer off to take care of her!

She's pretty sluggish. The medicine they gave her makes her sleepy, so she pretty much lays around. I don't think she feels much like running and playing . . . right now, that is. My fear is that she WILL in a few weeks!
