Christmas Morn: 2012

Christmas was so fun this year!

This year Ross really understood it was something special!

She LOVED opening presents...of course.

With a few select favorites...

Hope you guys had just as much fun!

An Early Christmas Celebration

Over at the Marsh household, we celebrated Christmas a little early this year
(mainly due to the fact that Cullie might just have a new little baby girl Christmas day)!

I'm SO excited for Ross this year. This year, she REALLY gets it! She can truly start understanding what goes on at Christmas...

and this year, it comes with PRINCESSES. (Which is mostly my fault for pushing it on her more than ever for our Disney trip coming up next month.)

I wish I could describe her excitement when she opened a box filled with not only princesses, but PRINCES to go with...because a princess just doesn't survive without a prince- in her world.

She has spent every waking second since singing and dancing with them...

and that's been pretty special for all of us.

Merry Christmas From US!

Meet "Bo."

Honestly, I didn't know what to expect when we introduced the elf to Ross.  I figured this would be our trial-run year.  In fact, I didn't even expect her to name him . . . as the book suggests.  However, much to my surprise, Ross immediately blurted out the name "Bo."  I have no idea where it came from or even what could have possibly bring about such a word, but an easy name like that has worked out well for all of us.  :)

Every morning we search for him . . . calling him along the way . . .
"Bo . . . ? Bo . . . ?"

And every morning he brings a giant smile.

Ross' First Christmas

It was GO, GO, GO around here on Christmas!

We did our little Christmas together on Christmas Eve morning . . .

Ross didn't seem all too excited about the actual present opening part.

However, she was most excited about the cards attached!

We woke up Christmas morning at Annie & Pop's house . . .

. . . where she was pleasantly surprised with more tags!

Later, we scurried to Mimi & Papa's house.

Busy, yet again . . . but WAY FUN!

Presents for Ross

"Oh, I see there's some presents under the tree."

"Gosh, I hope I get those plugs we saw the other day . . ."

"Wait. Did I forget to tell you about those?"

"Oh, surely not."

I just can't help it . . . she makes it too easy!
Merry Christmas, from us!

Pictures with Santa

My parents took Ross to see Santa last Friday (while we were out of town for a wedding weekend). Of course, I was a bit sad to think she'd be going to see Santa for the first time without us . . . but the more I thought about it, the more I just knew she'd hate it. I pictured her sitting on his lap, looking straight at me screaming and crying hysterically. And, the more I thought about that, the more I was okay with it.

So, Santa it was.

And, well, it turns out, there was no crying. No screaming either.

In fact, she looks as though she's done this a million times before.
Huh. Who would-a thought?

Christmas Cookies

The cousins came for a quick visit . . .
just in time to make some Christmas cookies!

Although, I don't believe Cate was all too interested in actually making them.

Sorry, baby girl. Maybe next year.

All I Want for Christmas is My Two Front Teeth!

I guess we're good to go then . . .

Santa Claus

"So, you're tellin' me, there's a man . . . who comes down our chimney . . . and gives us presents?!?!"

"Are you sure about this?"

"Alright, then. I'll be right here waiting . . ."
