I called the Vet this morning to check on Salsa. She says she's doing fine. She had her first treatment yesterday and is due for her last today. Although she didn't say, I would imagine she's painfully laying in that horrific cage with her head on her paws and ears moving toward every barking dog around.
I'm not quite sure how I feel about this Vet. Undoubtedly, I hate the butch nurse that "assists" her, but I feel like the Vet is taking this whole horrible situation a little too lightly. Maybe that's good, maybe that's bad. I don't know. But, I think she may have neglected the fact that this is our family member. I don't know what's happening in there. I don't know how serious this is. And yesterday, it became very evident to me how detrimental it would be for something to happen to her. I need you to be more sympathetic to me. This is not a gerbil. This is our 70 lb. ebony child whose mission in life is solely devoted to simply pleasing us, and you need to understand that.
I don't know. We'll see. I pick her up tomorrow.

Poor thing! Where do you take her? I switched vets with Winston and I LOVE where I am now! I didn't feel that great at my first place either. Pets are like children to us with no human kids. When/If you move to Lexington I'll recommend them... :)
yeah, what vet is it you are going to???
Don't be so hard on yourself. It is human nature to put things off. If you are interesed in a new vet, I have been really impressed with Elizabeth Pirkle....from our church. She is really sweet and very very compassionate. I spent more time with her lately going to her wedding shower and wedding and I think you would love her. She is in a group in Columbia. I can find out if you are interested.
We go to Companion Animal Hospital here in town. I think we will switch.
Asher and I took Hambey to this place off of Millwood on Daly St. I can't remember the name of it, but it is where Jess takes her dogs. They were always so good there. Maybe it's the Millwood Animal Clinic???
