YES! You heard me right! Pluggie Plug free!
I have been more anxious about getting rid of these things than potty training and bed transitioning combined! But, it finally happened!
However, God shined his light on me yesterday morning when Ross woke up with no plugs. They had all fallen behind her crib, and the second I walked in the room to get her she said, "Where are my pluggies?"
"They must be gone, Ross." And that was it.
Later, at nap time (after discussing the idea with Grady) when I put her in her bed, she asked again, "Where are my pluggies?"
"Ross, they're gone. Do you know why?"
"Why?" (listening very intently)
"Because you've gotten too big. They all went to the tiny, little babies."
(smiling) "Oh."
And then I gave her her stuffed dog (Suzy) and blanket...and that was it.
No cry. No fuss. No nothing.
She did ask again at bedtime, but I told her the same story, and she was fine. Slept the whole night. Fine.
I wish I could describe to you the relief this has brought me...but I'll never come close.
With that being said, that was probably the last bit of evidence that she was ever a baby...and I can't help but be sad about that...

How sweet! She is really growing up and understanding everything! I know you have to be so proud of her! I am so glad it worked out so well!
Go Ross!!! That worked out perfectly!!! I hope we have the same luck with Smith!!!
Yay Ross! We are so proud of you!!!
yay! she's such a big girl! i know how stress-inducing this can be... we had bailey potty trained and in a twin bed before we were able to rid her of the paci.
Man, oh man. We're getting there...we're getting there...
