My mom says I get it from my grandmother who seems to have a certain place (or bag) for every item she ever owned. I still remember as a child, her coming over to help my mom and I clean out and reorganize my closet every couple of months. And even as much as I dreaded it back then, I always felt like a ten ton weight had been lifted from my shoulders when it was finished.
And as the tradition continues, my grandmother recently made her way down to Aiken yet again to help my mom clean out a few more closets. Lucky for me, they ran across dozens of old fruit containers in which my mom thought would be useful in my classroom.
However, another ten ton weight was lifted when I found a new home for them in a few very UNorganized drawers.

I have baskets like that in my bathroom drawers, but not fruit baskets!!!! What a good idea!! How funny that your grandma saved all those!
That looks awesome! I can't believe your found such a great use for them. I was thinking they would be great for kids to learn weaving with construction paper strips. I don't know why I didn't think you could use them as drawer containers. Leave it to you, my organized child, to think of it and make it work so well! Well done, Holly!
I might add that I am also really laughing at myself because I spent a bundle at Wal-Mart buying tons of little white drawer organizers for all the many drawers I have in this house. Isn't it funny how different people see things differently. It was so simple and I didn't see it. That is too funny! I am just so glad you could make such a great use for them. Way to go, Holly! You never stop amazing me!
From the title, I thought you were going to give us a new recipe! To be honest, I'm a little disappointed...food I understand. Organization...not so much. Glad somebody in the fam inherited that gene from Mau Mau!
That's funny....organizing my bathroom drawers has been on my to do list for about a month now. I have been saying to myself I need to go to the dollar store and get some little baskets. Those work perfectly. Smart idea!
