Sign #3: "All Done"

This week Ross started signing "all done!"

"all done" = twisting open palms back and forth

She continues to use the "baby" sign every day, but we've gotten a bit off track with "more." (This is primarily my fault.) Ross has definitely hit the age where I know, without a doubt, she's understanding us. She gets very excited (twirling her hands and feet) when she wants to do something . . . and frantically shakes her head "no" when she doesn't.

It's pretty amazing she was a newborn only months ago . . .

Trip to the Children's Museum!

This week we made a little visit to see the Olmert's! They are all anxiously awaiting for baby #3 to arrive! In the meantime, Jennifer and I took Cate and Ross to the Children's Museum! This was quite exciting for Ross, as she has never seen such things!

Crazy to think, the next time we're there . . . baby #3 will be too!

Monday, March 7

It's (Finally) Official . . .

We have a crawling baby!
We haven't seen Ross "scoot" in over 3 days now,
so I think it's finally safe to say, she's a crawler!

Any recommendations on baby gates?

11 Months

Well . . . sigh . . . I've finally stopped trying.
I am so sad to say, there is no possible way to stop her from growing up.

(Although, I'm still up for suggestions, if anyone has some.)

Here are a few happenings from this month . . .
  • Sitting up on own (from laying down)
  • Showed second sign: "baby"
  • Slowly, but surely crawling for longer lengths
  • Stood up by herself (Ok, it was only once . . . but enough to justify documentation in my book.)
  • Climbed (a few) stairs
  • Has become OBSESSED with books (in fact, if she's in a tizzy, you can simply mention the word "book," and she will calm down.)
  • Developed a strong clinginess to her father . . . (this is one I may be coming back to address in the future . . .)
  • Also . . .
Playing "peekaboo"
"Where's Ross??"
"PEEKABOO!!!"

And, the sweetest of them all . . .
Blowing kisses

It's inevitable that next month will be a sob fest.
I'm preparing myself now.

You maybe should, too.
