Summer Project #1

Well, it's begun . . . summertime. This, of course, involves me sitting around wondering what else I can do around the house. Today it's the bedroom. I have found, unfortunately, that I get quite bored with my current decor a little more quickly than I or Grady would like . . . which therefore turns into me either making something to put in the house . . . or searching the stores to find something. Lucky for Grady, this particular project was made.

Although, I will confess, there is more to come with this room.

Graduation Day!

It's hard to believe the little kindergarteners
are graduating today.

I have to say, I had quite the sweet little class this year. Caring . . . thoughtful . . . responsible. I feel privileged to have spent the last year with them.
No matter how many shoelaces I had to tie or how many stern "YOU BETTER STOP THAT" stares I had to give, they always seemed to make me laugh.

You see, that's the beauty of my job.
You just simply can't go into a kindergarten class without smiling.

What a Relief!

Grady has been deciding whether or not to hire an employee since he opened the doors to The Maduro Room . . . and yesterday, he finally chose someone with which I think he'll be really happy! With the new employee, he will be able to stay open a couple hours longer a few nights a week and (more importantly to me) he will have every other Saturday OFF!!! YEAH!!! Starting in 2 weeks, the new hours will be:

Monday & Tuesday: 10-6
Wednesday-Friday: 10-9
Saturday: 10-6
