Out and About!

Maranda came to visit this weekend, which gave us the perfect opportunity to do what girls do . . . eat, drink, and gossip! Ha! Ha!

We had the best time out in 5 Points Saturday night!

The Salty Nut for dinner and drinks.

We later moved on to Rocco's.

And, we ended our night at Village.

I had a great time, Maranda! I'm so glad you were able to come!!

Our Latest Find!

While shopping for Jess's Ernest Lee painting, Alanna and I found this WONDERFUL art gallery on Devine St.! After visiting gallery after gallery and only finding prices in the $1000 range, it was so refreshing to walk into the "Finleaf Gallery." The woman that worked there informed us that the owner apparently travels the world finding pieces and yet still has an affordable price range! I, however, happened to pick up a piece by Katie Myers . . . the lady who was working there at the time! And, regardless if you like this piece or not . . . they have so much to offer and at GREAT prices!

School's IN!

Well, as you know I'm BACK at school! And, many of you know I transfered to Rice Creek . . . which meant packing, unpacking, and ORGANIZING! It was a HUGE job that unfortunately is still an on ongoing process! These are pictures of my new classroom about a month ago . . . in other words . . . the "before" pictures! :)

And HERE is my classroom TODAY!

Tuesday was the kid's FIRST day of kindergarten! And for many of them it was their first day of school EVER! After two days of getting to know these sweet kids, I can see already I have a FABULOUS group of kids this year!! I am SO very excited to spend the next year of my life with them!!

It's hard NOT to smile when you a child looks up and hands you one of these . . .
What a sweet surprise they were!

Back to School!

Well, school is in full swing again . . . . at least for us teachers. And, after screening incoming kindergarteners all day, it's become apparent that some students have created a new letter of the alphabet . . . . ."ar-ra."
